Success for Wilpshire Wanderers

Wilpshire Wanderers U12 Reds won the Dave Smith Memorial Tournament organised by Great Harwood. Despite the rain which fell all day Friday the pitches were in great condition. The team topped the group and won the semi-final against the host team and final against Fulledge Colts avoiding the dreaded penalties in both matches. The team worked hard for each other with great goals from Will Reede, Elliot Watson and Oakley Hilton and a number of outstanding saves from Jack Graham.
The manager David Graham played every minute with the boys from the side lines. A great day was had by boys, parents and manager, who are all looking forward to the new season which is creeping up fast.
A big thank you to Great Harwood for organising the tournament and ensuring the pitches were in top condition. |
