Under 9 Cup Final
Wilpshire Wanderers 2–0 Huncoat United
Congratulations to the Wilpshire Wanderers Under 9 Blue squad on
winning the cup final against Huncoat United. The final was held at Padiham FC on the 16th May and was a close,
competative game. Wilpshire won the tie with a goal in each half but endured some sustained pressure from Huncoat
early in the second half with the score at 1–0. Wilpshire survived this period of play thanks to good
defending and some incredible goalkeeping, and went on to seal victroy with a second goal later in the half.

Presentation Evening
The 2010 presentation evening for Wilpshire Wanderers Football Club was held in the Pennant Suite at Ewood Park,
the home of Blackburn Rovers on the 5th May 2010. This year trophies were presented to 16 squads by Blackburn Rovers
favourite Jason Roberts.

Under 12 Cup Final
Wilpshire Wanderers 3–1 Rossendale Utd Boys
Congratulations to the Wilpshire Wanderers Under 12 squad on their league
and cup double this year.
The cup final against Rossendale Utd Boys was held at Clitheroe FC on the 2nd May and was an exciting close-fought
affair. The teams were all square at 1–1 at half-time but Wilpshire Wanderers sealed victory with a fine
second half display.

Salesbury Memorial Hall
The facility at Salesbury Memorial Hall will close on the 12th June to allow the pitches to be prepared for next season

Painting the Pavilion
The woodwork of the pavilion at Salesbury Memorial Hall needs a lick of paint.
We envisage this being a voluntary event on a Saturday morning in the near future.

Don't throw away those old football boots, or shin pads, or football kits.
Donate them to the Wilpshire Wanderers Boot Room at the Salesbury Memorial Ground
on a Saturday morning and have a look for your next boots, pads or kit there too!!
